On May 27 after school, 11 Curiosity Films students gleaned 200 pounds of kale and bagged 200 pounds of squash at Stone Lake Farms in Elk Grove! All food was delivered to the Elk Grove Food Bank to help fight hunger in our community!
Farmer Cliff Wilcox was excited to see these crops go to a good cause. All organic and with no pesticides added, these crops were about to be tilled under since he had no buyers for them. But the Elk Grove Community Exchange came to the rescue, with a student glean team to divert crops to our local food bank!
